Lesson 1. Understanding to Literary Genres. -- Lesson 2 : Principles, Elements, Techniques, and Devices of Creative Nonfiction.
Literature as an expression of significant human experiences in words well-chosen and arranged will not be called a work of art without the sense of artistry in its very nature. What demarcates the line between fanciful stories to true-to-life documentaries is the ability of the writer to make use of techniques that will enable the readers to go beyond what their minds can imagine. In telling stories, people cannot say how creative or how pure their narrations are. But the intension still remains in any angle of confrontation, conversation, chit chat, epistle or discourse - it is their eagerness to share a story.
in whichever perspective, people can tell and want to tell a story. Every person wants to share his/her stories and/or other people's stories. This signifies that stories who ever or wherever they come from, project importance and relevance in people's lives. Each of the story matters. Adage was once said by writer, "Writing nonfiction means tell people's stories for them, not because they're special but we all are".
K-12 strengthens this reflective belief that millennial learners must learn the proper way of divulging the true beauty of writing creative nonfiction. Academically, Creative Non Fiction develops in students' skills in reading and thinking creatively and critically, that will help them to be imaginative readers and writers. Further, CNF aims to understand conventions of traditional genres so as to maximize the use of elements to create themes. CNF clarifies different genres and let the students perform those applying techniques and devices as they write maximizing their own forms and types of literary piece. In the end, CNF targets learners' engagement in writing creative non-fiction exploring their own types and forms so as to activate learners' analytic side upon writing their own critique papers.
